Barbados @ 60A Timeline of Achievements
Privacy Policy
This page describes what data Barbados @ 60 actually collects and how it's used.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — which pages are viewed and which features (sharing, saving, media playback, and navigation) are used. This includes automatic pageview tracking for each milestone page and a small set of engagement events. No personal data (such as an email address) is ever sent to Google Analytics.
Saving a Milestone
The “Save” button on a milestone bookmarks it for later by storing your list of saved milestones in your browser's local storage, on your own device. No account, sign-in, or email address is required or collected, and your saved list is never transmitted to or stored on any server we operate — it stays on your device and is only visible to you.
Sharing a Milestone
The Share dialog offers several ways to share a milestone, each with different privacy implications:
- Copy link copies the milestone's link to your device's clipboard. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Twitter/X, Facebook, and LinkedIn open that platform's own share page in a new tab, pre-filled with the milestone's link. We don't send that platform anything ourselves — once there, your interaction is governed by that platform's own privacy policy, not ours.
- More sharing options… (where available) hands off to your device's own native share sheet. We don't see or store which app, if any, you choose.
- Email asks for an email address only to hand off to your own device's email app, pre-filled with a link to that milestone. That email address is used entirely on your device — it is never transmitted to or stored on any server we operate.
Other On-Device Preferences
Your Light/Dark mode choice and whether the “show saved milestones only” filter is switched on are also remembered the same way — stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device, never on any server we operate.
Video & Audio Playback
Milestone videos and the background music player embed content from YouTube. Playing these may load content directly from YouTube (a Google service), which can set its own cookies and collect data according to Google's own privacy policy, independent of anything described above.
